Emotional Resilience for our Children
The TV show 'Adolescence' highlighted some very important issues that are rising in our communities. We all know how dependent our children are becoming on their Smart phones. We see the children suffering from screen addiction and the resulting attention deficit, insomnia and poor mental health that follows.
Teenage brain development combined with an over-dependence on social media platforms and an ever-increasing pressure to be sexually attractive at a young age, is pushing our children too far. Their self-esteem, confidence and very identity is being attacked and predators are stepping in to exert heavy influences upon them.

This session gives an overview of the issues:
What is INCEL culture?
Isolation and rejection
Lack of positive role models
Over dependence on Smart phones
Screen addiction
Vulnerability to online bullying
Influence of negative role models
Toxic websites
Violent behaviour & misogyny

What can we do to protect them?
How do we build cognitive and emotional resilience in our children?
