Hello, my name is Jane and I would like to welcome you to

  face2face

Untitled design-24_edited.jpg

face2face is an opportunity for you to improve your communication with your teenager.

I will guide you through two two-hour online workshop sessions, that will help both of you recognise what may have been going wrong between you, in terms of the way you speak and listen to each other. Communication is a two-way street and usually, between parents and teens, errors are being made on both sides. Small adjustments and increased awareness can make huge improvements in our relationship with our children.

Who can join face2face?

The workshops are open to any parents or carers of children aged 12 upwards.

It aims to help ALL parents (not just those experiencing difficulties)

to improve their understanding and ability to communicate with their young people.

What’s in it for the young people?

1. It is an opportunity for them to be properly ‘heard’ by their parent. To have a safe place where they can express their points of view in controlled exercises.

2. On completion of the two sessions, they receive an Advanced Communication Skills certificate that can be added to their academic portfolios.

The sessions consist of one parent and one teen (12 upwards) engaging in lots of 121 exercises with each other. The sessions are delivered live online via zoom and are facilitated by Jane Keyworth, Lead Facilitator at FACE. There will be other parents and teens on the sessions, but your teen does not have to appear or speak on camera unless they would like to.

All the exercises are completed off camera with mics off, so there is absolutely nothing that will embarrass your teen. This is not therapy, it is skills practice, and can make big improvements fast.

The Sessions

I was so surprised at how informative and genuinely useful Jane's sessions have been. I learnt so much and I have completely changed my approach with my teenagers!
