What is ACT?

This CPD National Standards Accredited Training is suitable for Parents, Teachers, SENCos, Social workers, and all professionals who work with and support
children and teenagers.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, known as ACT, is a mindfulness-based behavioural therapy that challenges the ground rules of Western Psychology.
ACT is fast becoming a leading approach, especially when supporting neurodiverse clients, and those suffering from trauma and addiction.

Introduce the six core concepts of ACT: Cognitive Defusion, Acceptance, Being Present, The Observing-Self, Values and Committed Action
Understand the difference between ACT and other approaches.
Understand and apply a range of interventions to support emotional management
There are two ways of acquiring this training for your staff:
1. The training can be accessed as an online course which individuals book on to (£48 each)
and complete in their own time as distance learning.
International Standards CPD certificates issued with successful course completion.
2. The training is also available as a bespoke training session for your specific organisation.
Delivered as an online training workshop that can range in length from three to six hours depending on the level of group discussion and interaction requested.
£150/hour with up to 30 attendees (£5 each)
