Are you in a role where you need to engage, inspire and support children and teenagers? This session will show you how to enhance your existing skills in order to raise the levels of motivation in those you are supporting. Teacher training and training given to multi-agency services who support young people, involves developing excellent communication skills. This session will take those skills and amplify them to a higher level of ability. Learn how to improve engagement, raise motivation to change behaviour and decrease the odds of argument and non-compliance. ​ Introducing techniques and skills based on the Motivational Interviewing (MI) approach. MI established itself as a leading approach when working one-to-one with people suffering from addiction, but it is now recognised as an extremely powerful approach across all areas of engagement, motivation and behaviour change. ​ Anyone working frontline, communicating in a one-to-one setting, will benefit from this training session. In this three hour long training session, you will see how techniques based in the powerful Motivational Interviewing approach can be easily applied into your professional role. This three hour online training session is delivered by FACE Lead Facilitator, Jane Keyworth. Jane will explain the theory and give plenty of opportunity to practice and discuss the skills included. All attendees receive an accredited CPD certificate that can be added to their CPD portfolio.
