Service Description

Are you supporting a child with ADHD? Whether you are a professional or a parent, supporting a child with ADHD is challenging. This training session can enhance your understanding of the condition and raise your confidence in applying effective support. We are getting better at identifying and diagnosing neurodiverse children, but having a diagnosis does not come with a 'How to' guidebook! How do you support a neurodiverse child on a daily basis? Many students in mainstream school have a diagnosis of ADHD, often alongside other complex needs. What can you, as a professional, actually do to support them in practical terms? What advice can we give to parents to help them with the daily issues? This three-hour online session explains what ADHD is and how it impacts on the individual. It goes beyond a basic understanding and shows you how you can bring in easy to apply interventions and support. This three-hour online training session is delivered by FACE Lead Facilitator, Jane Keyworth. Jane will explain the theory and give plenty of opportunity to practice and discuss the skills included. All attendees receive an accredited CPD certificate that can be added to their CPD portfolio.
